The essentials

When it's time to leave spreadsheets

While orders are few and one person handles them, a spreadsheet is enough. Once several people work in it, rows get overwritten, statuses go stale, and the spreadsheet stops matching what's really happening.

In your own system, every order and every stock movement has a history: who changed what, and when.

Tracking in production

In production, orders come with raw materials, machines and approvals. In the CRM we built for an aluminium plant, one window shows deals from request to shipment, price approval by the owner, the queue for the presses, the ingot warehouse and overdue payments, while Central Bank of Russia exchange rates and the aluminium price on the exchange update on their own.

Your own system and your accounting software

Your accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero, stays in place for bookkeeping and reporting. Your own system covers the work of sales, warehouse and production, including on a phone, and passes the accountant what they need.
